Moroccan rugs bring texture and warmth to a room with very little pattern. That quiet quality is why they suit modern and minimalist homes so well.
Traditional Moroccan rugs were woven by Berber (Amazigh) tribes in the Atlas Mountains for warmth in a cold climate. Each tribe and region had its own look, from thick ivory rugs with simple dark lines to bright, freely drawn rugs made from leftover yarn.

Our Moroccan collection offers hand-knotted Moroccan-style rugs, including high-low pile designs, each one of a kind. Thick, plush pile makes them a natural choice for bedrooms and living rooms where people sit on the floor.
A pale Moroccan rug brightens a dark floor and makes a small room feel bigger. It pairs well with wood, linen and leather, and it works in Scandinavian, Japandi, coastal and modern rooms. Because the design is quiet, it layers well under a smaller patterned rug. See our layering guide for ideas.
Plush pile collects dust, so vacuum often, in the direction of the pile and without a beater bar. Ivory rugs show spills, so blot right away and have the rug professionally washed every few years.
